Hardware Developer

Our growing team is opening a great opportunity to join an innovative player in the event technology space. As a Hardware Developer, you will develop the PCBAs that power our wearable devices, as well as the transmitters that control them. Your designs will be deployed in events and permanent installations all over the world.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US:

  • Design PCBAs that will be deployed in large numbers in a wide range of uses, including at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19.
  • Design schematic diagrams of complete devices 
  • Choose active components, calculate values of passive components
  • Work alongside Firmware Developers and Industrial Designers to bring products to market.
  • Strike the right balance between cost, quality, and performance.
  • Recommend your solutions to problems involving battery life, LED brightness and radio optimization, amongst others.
  • Verify your concepts through simulations and prototypes.
  • Prepare the documentation needed for manufacturing and certification (BOM, drawings, gerbers, diagrams, test plans, data sheets, etc)

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of the process of designing and building PCBAs
  • Knowledge of operation of semiconductor devices (Transistors, Diodes)
  • Experience in testing and debugging electrical circuits
  • Ability to use laboratory equipment (including oscilloscope, signal generators, simulation software, etc)
  • Experience with Eagle CAD
  • Ability to collaborate with different teams simultaneously (R&D and Product and Workshop)
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work autonomously while acquiring the knowledge necessary to deliver projects

 

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Knowledge of FCC, CE and Safety regulations
  • Knowledge of a programming language
  • Experience operating CNC to prototype PCBs
  • Experience working with Chinese suppliers
  •  

TERMS:

  • 40 hours per week
