The Grand Finale of the International Music Summit (IMS), Ibiza’s very own music business conference, is one of the most unique parties in the world. Taking place at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Dalt Vila, high above Ibiza, the location is quite simply breathtaking and unlike any other in the electronic music world. On the stage overlooking the whole town of Ibiza, some of the top DJs in the world paid tribute to the late Frankie Knuckles. Steve Angello, Annie Mac, Pretty Lights, Rage on Gold, Manu Gonzalez and T.A.T created an incredible night, while in the crowd, PixMob wristbands took the excitement to the next level for the 3000 clubbers dancing to dawn.
Two people in historical costumes and perched on stilts were holding silver trays full of PixMob bracelets that they handed to the attendees. First amazed then entertained, they were eager to catch the glowing objects or immortalize the moment on their cell phones. After an hour of visual effects controlled by the PixMob show operator from the lighting console, the bracelets were switched to impact mode. They changed colour in response to movement and lit up the crowd with a rainbow of light, for an immersive and unforgettable experience. This unusual method of giving out the wristbands was organized with our local partner Paraddax Lab. It created a connection between the attendees and the two characters, and also among the attendees. Many selfies were taken with the acrobats. The experience started well before the interactive LED wristbands started glowing, with the first contact with the crowd.
