A Moving Light Show on the Field

Founded in 1896, the University of Michigan Marching Band is well known for their on-field performances, and is an integral part of the state's football tradition. PixMob was chosen by the band to add some magic to the halftime show of Under the Lights III, the football team’s annual night game.

The 290 musicians and 130 dancers performed amazing brassy versions of hit songs of Pitbull and Ke$ha, American Authors, John Legend, Jason Derulo and 2Chainz and Lady Gaga. The band used PixMob interactive LED technology to illuminate glowing balls and LED Flares embedded to their hats. Controlled by infrared, the objects lit up in multicolour, in sync with the music.

In a breathtaking twist, the show unfolded as a thrilling surprise for the 110,000 fans, igniting a powerful connection through the seamless fusion of lights and music. The energy crackled like electricity, infusing the entire atmosphere with an electric buzz. Amidst this electrifying backdrop, Michigan emerged victorious, defeating Penn State 18-13, leaving the fans with not just a win to celebrate, but an unforgettable experience etched into their hearts forever.
